Indiana resident takes home $50k
Without question, March 31st, 2013 will go down as one of the most exciting and eventful days in Streak history. Matt Renn from Georgetown, IN, started Sunday with a W24, one behind the current leader who had a W25. Making a very gutsy but intelligent call, Matt took Michigan (a 3 point underdog) over Florida for his first green of the day. With two entries now at W25 he picked Louisville (while the other W25 took Duke) who cruised to an 85-63 victory, earning him a W26 and guaranteeing him the $50k prize. Now free rolling, Matt elected to take the final prop of the month (No HR during innings 4-6) for a chance at the $100k Stash, but nothing could have prepared him for the absolute chaos that ensued. He survived 5 half innings without a HR, but in a stunning turn of events that will go down in Streak legend, Rick Ankiel hit a HR on a 3-2 count with 2 outs in the bottom of the 6th to preserve the stash and shock the Streak world. You can pretty much gaurantee this will be the #1 Streak moment of 2013 and will certainly never be forgotten. The "Most Wins" competition was also very intense. Going into that same final prop of March, two entries both had an incredible 142 wins. Both entries happened to pick Yes for a HR during innings 4-6, and so as it often comes down to the contest was decided on a tiebreaker (highest win %). Congrats to Collin Shadle for taking home the $2,500 prize.
The Streak Stash was not hit in March, so it will rollover to April and be worth $150,000. If someone reaches a W27 or greater, they will be eligible to claim the grand prize of $200,000 (Stash + Monthly). Good luck Streakers and remember, the next Stunt Day is April 11, 2013 focusing on the opening round of The Masters.

Another Ohio Resident Puts Together the Longest Streak
What is going on in Ohio? First, we had Traci Leopold from Delaware, OH win the $100k Streak Stash in January. To follow that up though, Alissa Horstman from New Albany, OH, made a late run in February to take home $50,000 with a W24. To make things more interesting, New Albany, OH is roughly 30-35 minutes away from Delaware, OH. If you live around there, you might want to start playing Streak for the Cash. As far as the action went, it was a tight race with only a few days left. Several entries entered the final 48 hours with streaks of W21 or higher. Horstman had to sweat it out after she lost on February 25, but her closest competition (a W23) fell after Memphis had its 18-game winning streak snapped by Xavier. Horstman's winning pick for a W24 came when Iowa State and Kansas combined for well over 71 points in the 2nd half of their "Big Monday" tilt.Quite the finish we had for the "Most Wins" competition. With two props left, we had four entries sitting at 120 wins. The 1st half prop in the Duke/Virginia basketball game split the picks at two apiece. The total points scored went under, leaving two left to try and claim the $2,500. The final prop was "Which SCORE will OCCUR FIRST in the 2nd Half?" The options were 1) Made 3-Pointer or 2) Made Free Throw. Both entries on top took the made 3-pointer. About 20 seconds into the half, a 3 was drained and that was the end of it. Congrats to Tyler Finn for taking home the $2,500 prize.
The Streak Stash was not claimed in February, so it will now rollover to March and be worth $150,000. If someone reaches a W27 or greater, they will be eligible to claim the grand prize. Bring on March Madness and the coming of Spring! Good luck Streakers.

Ohio Native Wins January Stash
January is starting to look like lady's month on Streak for the Cash. For the second year in a row, we kicked the New Year off with a female taking home the $100,000 Streak Stash. This year, Traci Leopold from Lewis Center, OH, put together a great run of 27 straight wins. Leopold played an outstanding month, building a sizeable streak before slowing it down and picking smart choices. Heading into the final week, her THE Urban Legends Entry was not in the spotlight, as two other entries were matching one another win for win. One of the entries finally fell when the Miami Heat lost to the Boston Celtics in OT, which left the door ajar for Leopold make a run at the current leader at W24. Things completely went her way after carsh300 entry finally lost with a W24. With only a couple of days to play in the month, Leopold needed 2 wins to reach the W27 Streak Stash mark. She pulled it off on January 30 after Southampton only lost by 1 to Manchester United, and the Miami Heat dominated the Brooklyn Nets. The win makes Leopold only the fourth woman to ever win the "Longest Streak" competition and just the second female Stash winner. On the "Most Wins" side of things, what a great finish to the month. It's been awhile since we have had a really good race down the final stretch. At the start of the final day, there were a handful of entries still alive for the $2,500 prize, but by the time we got to the final prop of the night, there were only two. Amazingly, both entries (tied at 121 wins) picked opposing sides of the Illinois/Michigan State 2nd-half prop: How many 3-Pointers will be made in the 2nd half? Our eventual winner, Rick Clark, took 6 or Fewer and with 1.9 seconds left, Illinois had a shot for a buzzer-beater to make the 7th 3-pointer. However, they failed to get the shot off and handed Clark the cash.
We now head into a new month (February) where the Stash will reset and be worth $100,000 to a lucky someone if they can reach at least a W27. Thanks for a great start to the year, and good luck!

Year Ends With Wisconsin Man Grabbing $100,000
The year 2012 started with our first ever female "Longest Streak" winner, saw two Stashes fall and several others win big money. The final winner for the "Longest Streak" was Gary Perdue, who put together a solid run of 22 straight wins to win the $100,000 on Tiebreaker #1 (higher win %). Perdue won the Stash because at the end of each year, we give it to the longest streak in December no matter what their streak is. It was a fun month with a lot of up and down props, a Christmas Stunt and several college bowl games, but when it was all said and done, December capped a wonderful year in Streak for the Cash. The "Most Wins" competition saw Carter F. of Chesterbrook, PA climb to the top of the leaderboard after piling up 115 wins. He clinched the $2,500 on the final prop of the year when LSU scored a TD to start the 2nd half in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
We've reached the end of a great 2012, but to relive it a bit, take a look back at our Top 10 Moments. The Streak Stash will reset and be worth $100,000 (Stash + Monthly) in the month of January. That means if anyone hits a W27 or better, they will be eligible to win the Stash. Along with that, all of the other prizes will return with the same general gameplay. Happy New Year to everyone, and thanks for playing!

Michigan resident takes November Stash for $300,000
It had to fall again at some point, and November happened to be that month. The Streak Stash was no match for Jason Abro, who put together an amazing run of 28 straight wins to claim the grand prize.Abro began the month with a L2, but that was the end of his losing streak as he clicked off 28 consecutive wins from Nov. 1 to Nov. 15. The magic number of 27 straight wins to qualify for the Stash was hit on Nov. 15 when Boston College only lost by 10 points to Baylor in basketball. Abro selected Any Other Result in that prop, which was up against Baylor winning by 15+ Points. Despite reaching the Stash mark of W27 (eventually ending with a W28 as said before), there was still half the month left. With several other entries hot on his tail, our winner had to wait it out for 15 days. The closest competitor reached a W25 shortly after Abro lost but fell a few short when Marquette lost to Butler on a buzzer-beater in the Maui Invitational. Nobody else ever got close enough to challenge for the Stash after that.
The "Most Wins" competition found Sam W. of Richmond, VA atop the leaderboard after racking up 124 wins, beating the second place finisher by three. He takes home $2,500 for his month long effort.
Since the Stash was reached in November, it will start over at $50,000 in December. But since its the final month of the year that means the highest streak of the month will take home $100,000 (Stash + Monthly), so let the competition begin! Good luck, and thanks for playing!

Delaware resident nabs improbable $50K on late PK
We swear here at Streak for the Cash you can't even script what happens sometimes in this game. The month of October proved to set the bar even higher as far as the wildest finish to a month ever. To start out, the month looked like it could be the first time since July '11 that nobody would hit a W20. That all changed in the final 48 hours when two entries battled it out, ultimately ending in a soccer showdown that defied the impossible. Asit Chadha finally emerged victorious after winning on a tiebreaker (higher winning %) over Rob Deines' W21.Let's set the table on how the final day went shall we? Coming into the day, Deines sat with a W20, while Chadha waited in the wings with a W19 (and the higher win % remember). Deines' RaceCarDriver#99 Enry caught lightning in a bottle on the first prop of the day. He chose Novak Djokovic to lose 7 or More Games, but it looked bleak after Djokovic blanked Sam Querrey, 6-0, in Set 1. An unthinkable comeback ensued after Djokovic jumped to a 2-0 lead in Set 2. Querrey muscled back and took the 2nd set in a tiebreak, 7-6. With a two-win cushion, Deines played the waiting game to see what Chadha would do. Chadha pounced right away, grabbing an easy win with CSKA Moscow.
The next prop the two Streakers would take would end up deciding it all. Chadha took Chelsea against Manchester United, while Deines rolled with Borussia Monchengladbach against Fortuna Dusseldorf. Chelsea got down early and played a goal behind for much of the game. Meanwhile, Borussia and Dusseldorf battled to a 0-0 score in regulation and headed to Extra Time. In Extra Time, Dusseldorf struck and would hold on to win, 1-0, thus ending Deines' streak. He still had a chance if Manchester United could hold on to beat Chelsea (and it looked like they would). But that's when chaos ensued. Chelsea was granted a miracle PK with only seconds to spare (93rd minute) to force Extra Time. Not out of the woods, Chadha still needed Chelsea to win...and they didn't disappoint, winning 5-4. The miracle comeback won Chadha $50,000 and one heck of a story. Despite the loss, Streak for the Cash wishes to congratulate Deines and his run because before the 21 straight wins, he had been sitting with a monthly record of 17-40! Great comeback Mr. Deines! On behalf of ESPN Fantasy, congratulations to both entrants for giving us one great finish.
The "Most Wins" competition was easygoing in the end for Jamison Smith of Fort Myers, FL after rolling up 117 wins to outdistance the competition by a solid margin. He takes home $2,500 for his effort.
Since the Stash was not reached in October, it will rollover to $250,000 in November. That means if anyone reaches W27, they bank a hefty $300,000 (Stash + Monthly)! Good luck, and thanks for playing!

Indiana man Wins $50,000 with the help of Eli Manning
It came down to the 1st half's final drive of the last game of the month on Streak for the Cash in September to see a winner seperate themselves from the pack, but Brian Kelly emerged with a W22, winning $50K by riding the arm of Eli Manning. Tied at W21 with one other entry, Brian needed Eli to throw for at least 63 yards on the last drive to win the 1st Half passing yards prop against challenger Michael Vick. It seemed an impossible feat to pull off considering Manning had only racked up 70 yards in the air the entire half thus far, but streakers know that nothing is ever a certainty in the streak universe. Once Manning threw a 32 yard bomb to Domenik Hixon on the first play of the drive, the impossible was suddenly a distinct possibility. Manning ended up throwing for an astounding 81 yards on the drive, pulling off the miracle and making Brian $50k richer! On behalf of ESPN Fantasy, congratulations to him on an remarkable streak. The "Most Wins" competition was again decided by a tiebreak, with Alisa Valdenegro earning the cash by means of a higher winning % (.628 to .625). She takes home $2,500 for her month long effort.
Since the Stash was not reached in September, it will rollover to $200,000 in October. That means if anyone reaches W27, they will bank $250,000 (Stash + Monthly)! Good luck in October, and thanks for playing!

Random Drawing Hands Illinois Man $5,000 Stunt Prize
A stunt day to remember, that's for sure. After rain delays, lightning delays and just pure chaos, three entries sat atop the stunt leaderboard with a W13. Our eventual winner (via random drawing, which is the third tiebreaker) was Jeff Haymes from Willow Springs, IL. Haymes chose to sit out the final prop available on the night, despite being able to win the $5,000 outright had he won the prop. Instead, he sat back and watched two other entries tie him up after a Missouri RB scampered for 24 yards on the final play of the game to push the 4th quarter prop (How many yards will be gained? Options: 144 yards or fewer OR 145 yards or more) over. However, he still managed to snag the winnings by being the lucky winner of the drawing. Maybe make it easy and go for the outright win next time haha!Thank you to all who participated! Mark your calendars for the next stunt day, which will be December 25, 2012.

Another New Jersey Native Wins $50,000 with August Streak
Streak for the Cash has seen a few great finishes to the "Longest Streak" competition in its four-year history, but the final 48 hours of August '12 was something to behold. With the Olympics, a Stunt Day and just a plethora of tough props, nobody made any real run at the Stash, or a big streak in general. Heading into the final five days of the month, a W21 was the leader in the clubhouse. That looked like it might hold up until an onslaught of entries (24 in total) either tied or passed it up. When the dust cleared, Fred Robins emerged with a W23, winning the $50K by virtue of a higher winning % over five others. The competition was officially over after huge underdog, Atletico Madrid, stomped Chelsea, 4-1, in the UEFA Super Cup and Mainz fell to Greuther Furth in a German Bundesliga game. With the victory, that makes two of the last five winners from the state of New Jersey. Obviously something going right in the Garden State. The "Most Wins" competition saw the record number of wins wins shattered by several entries, but in the end it was decided by the thinnest of margins. Dwight Clark edged out one other entry with 130 wins by holding a higher winning % (.653 to .650). He takes home $2,500 for his record-setting effort.
Since the Stash was not reached in August, it will rollover to $150,000 in September. That means if anyone reaches W27, they will bank a hefty $200,000 (Stash + Monthly)! Good luck in September, and thanks for playing! Oh, and bring on some football!

Super Wednesday Stunt Full of Action from the London Games
From the start, Super Wednesday was a nail biting experience. After Brazil edged out Argentina in Men's Volleyball to win the first prop 5-4, streakers felt the pressure and knew the day would bring tension, excitement and edge of your seat action. Some of the more memorable props included Jose Calderon winning the "first letter of the last name" prop that saw multiple misses from players on both sides of the action, Lashinda Demus losing the 400m hurdles event by a fraction of a second and Kevin Love throwing down off a beautiful feed from LeBron James to the elation of the almost 60,000 people that were rooting for a bench player to score in the final 2 minutes of the half. William Karahalios of Indiana, PA navigated the gauntlet of props from the London Games and played it smart, streaking his way to a W17 and then abstaining from the multiple Wednesday Night Baseball props that eliminated his competition and secured him a spot in Streak for the Cash history. For his efforts, Karahalios took home the $5,000 cash prize. Congratulations to him, as another successful stunt comes to a close.

Texas Streak Legend finally Earns $50,000
Kathryn Reid has streaked her way into fantasy immortality by picking an impressive 24 matchups correctly in a row. In one of the most astounding feats in Streak history, Kathryn accumulated her third all-time streak of at least 22 wins in a row, instantly vaulting her into Streak legend status and bringing July to an epic conclusion. As our loyal users would agree, getting a streak of 22 wins in a row is a difficult enough task to accomplish once in a lifetime. But achieving that feat for a shocking third time is a heroic accomplishment, one that will be well rewarded with the $50,000 first prize. This marks a proud chapter in Kathryn's Streak history book that began on November 30, 2008 when she made her first ever pick. After two heartbreaking defeats with a W22 or above in September 2011 and then again two months later in November 2011, she has finally cemented her spot in the history books. She's done the state of Texas proud, taking the cash back home to her residence in the town of Allen. The monthly prize couldn't have gone to a more deserving or more accomplished Streak player, so from everyone at ESPN...Congratulations!The "Most Wins" race was as close as humanly possible with two entries tied at 112 wins. The tiebreaker was decided by a single loss, with Josh Van from Ewa Beach, HI edging out his competition. The Hawaii native takes home the $2,500 prize and all the glory in stunning fashion.
Since the Stash was not reached in July, it will rollover to $100,000 in August. That means if anyone reaches W27, they will bank a cool $150,000 (Stash + Monthly)! Good luck in August and thanks for playing!

Unbelievable Run Claims Mega Stash
It had to happen eventually. The Stash had witnessed many attacks, only to have the last laugh. However, a bigger challenge proved to be too much in the form of 31-year old Chad Miller from Cockeysville, MD, who put together one of the most mind-boggling runs in Streak for the Cash history. Chad won an astounding 27 straight in only ten days to snatch the $300,000 grand prize. What made the run even more impressive is it didn't appear to matter what matchups or props were on the table (he selected one-hole golf props, 1st half soccer props, and the list goes on). He picked everything, and he did it quickly. The last ten wins in his streak occurred in a 72-hour span. Considering most entrants tend to slow their picking when they get to W20, this makes the run something that might not be seen again on Streak for the Cash. A few challengers made some late runs, but nobody could quite catch our eventual winner. The "Most Wins" race was a coast to the finish line for Josh Powell from Deshler, OH after holding a three-game lead heading into the final four props. He finished with a record-tying 124 wins on the month to claim the $2,500 prize.
With the Stash falling for the first time since January, it will now start over with July at $50,000. That means if a W27 is reached in the month of July, the winner will take home $100,000 (Stash + Monthly). Keep a watch for an announcement on when our Olympics Stunt Day will be played. Thanks to everyone for playing and good luck in July!

NBA Draft Thursday Stunt Decided on Final Prop
Now that was a finish! The NBA Draft Thursday stunt was full of twists and turns, as one entry jumped out to a commanding lead, only to be thwarted in the end after some passive playing. C. Valentine of Watseka, IL broke a 3-way tie on the last NBA Draft prop of the night to give him a W16. Valentine and one other entry were given a chance to make a run at the day's prize after CashTheCheck stopped making picks, despite holding a four-game lead with five props left. By the time the final pick came around, he was in a battle with two others at W15. Valentine selected "Any Other Conference" for the #27 overall pick, as opposed to the "Big 12, Big Ten or Big East." The 2012 NBA champion, Miami Heat selected Arnett Moultrie from Mississippi State, and it was all over in a flash. For his efforts, Valentine took home the $5,000 cash prize. Congratulations to him, as another successful stunt comes to a close.

Stash Falls After Unthinkable Run
It had been awhile (January '12) since the Streak Stash had been reached, but in the heat of June, it finally gave in. Pending verification, the $300,000 prize will be awarded at the month's end after miller Entry went on a run that Streak for the Cash has rarely seen. It took him only ten days to reach W27, including his final nine picks in a 72 hour span. Showing no fear, the current leader selected four matchups from four separate sports in his final ten picks, which included three prop bets. There were many moments where it looked as though his unbelievable run would come to an end, but he somehow found a way to pull them each out (i.e. The New York Red Bulls tying the Vancouver Whitecaps with a goal in the 86th minute). To top it all off, this is the first month our leader has played Streak for the Cash. Maybe he should've joined earlier? The month is still not over with several others trying to chase down the leader and steal the Stash from him, but who says our leader will stop at 27 wins? Ineligibility leads to Minnesota man winning $50,000
In a turn of events, our original May winner for the longest streak, Kevo2395, was ruled ineligible due to being underage. The ruling therefore allowed Amende92, who blew out the competition en route to a W23 halfway through the month, to take home the $50,000 prize. Congratulations to J. Amende of Minnetrista, MN for his fantastic play in the month of May. What a wild 48 hours it must have been for him, going from losing to winning in the blink of an eye.The "Most Wins" race came down to the very end as well, where redjohn2424 Entry from Amelia, OH outdueled longtime Streaker JuanCarlo23 and won by one win, 118 to 117. Each entrant picked opposing teams in the same Alabama vs. Tennessee WCWS game, and redjohn2424 Entry came out on top.
Things are about to heat up as far as the Stash is concerned. Yet again, nobody reached the necessary streak, so it will roll over into June. That means that if someone can reach a W27 in June, they will pocket $300,000! Also, be sure to circle your calendars on Thursday, June 28th for our next Stunt Day, which is NBA Draft day. Good luck to all!

Jerseyite rides MLB matchups to W22 for $50,000 prize in April
Congrats to our $50,000 longest winning streak winner for April – 37-year old Dax Tartar from Jackson, NJ – whose daxter4 entry reached W22 and won the first tiebreaker (winning %) over Bankjob from Wausau, WI. Impressive that 17 of daxter4's 21 consecutive wins came from straight up MLB games. Several entries had chances to catch him down the stretch, but all came up just short at W21.
The "Most Wins" contest came down to the final hour of the month, where smiggy80 from Milwaukee, WI outlasted rfivepin from Bolingbrook, IL.
Once again the Stash was not reached, so the stakes are raised as it rolls over to May worth $200,000. That means if someone gets to W27 in May they'll win a grand total of $250,000 (Stash + Monthly). Good luck to all!

Great job to everyone who finished with more wins than The Messenger in March, and thanks to everyone who tried. Best of luck to everyone in April, which will include two Stunt Days. The first will be a Super Thursday Stunt (Thursday, April 5th) and the second will be NFL Draft day (Thursday, April 26th).
Pennsylvanians Sweep March Prizes
March was a rough month for long winning streaks, but it was competitive down to the last few days. Midway through the month, a pair of W21 streaks were stopped, and it seemed as though it was only a matter of time before another entry passed them up. However, a week and a half went by without a successor after another W21 came up short in the entrant's quest to pass the leader, and it looked as though mr_nikiping Entry would survive with a W21. That all came to a halt as T. Messineo of Turtle Creek, PA made a late run to nab the $50,000 prize when her terrimessineo Entry reached W22 after Stanford defeated Minnesota for the NIT championship. A few entries trailed our eventual winner (who finished with a W23) by 3 or 4 wins going into the last day of the month, but there was no real threat made by any of them to overtake her. As far as the race for the Stash went, Messineo needed to successully pick four straight on the final day of March to reach it. The chase ended before it really started when Maria Sharapova fell in the Sony Ericsson Open Final. The "Most Wins" race came down to the very end, where El hombre from Philadelphia, PA outlasted rdog 11 Entry and won by one win, 124 to 123. Each entrant picked opposing teams in the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Memphis Grizzlies game (won by Memphis), and El hombre came out on top.
The state of Pennsylvania made a clean sweep of the contests in March, so other states have some lofty expectations to live up to now. Since the Streak Stash wasn't won, for the second consecutive month the amount will roll over. That means that if someone can reach a W27 in April, they will pocket $200,000! Good luck to all!

Beat The Messenger Random Drawing - February '12
Total wins by The Messenger = 90 (90-67-3 .573)

And the random drawing winner is..... louky15 (Louisville, KY)
Random entry #2: johnschott55 (Olyphant, PA)
Random entry #3: Bpollard5408 (Plymouth, MA)
Kudos to everyone who finished with more wins than The Messenger in February and thanks to everyone who tried. Now that it's known The Messenger's strategy is picking every possible matchup, we expect more competition in March, which will include a Stunt Day on the first day of the NCAA Tournament (Thursday, March 15).
Tense 48 Hours Decides Streak Winner In February; Stash Survives
My how things heated up quickly on February 26th. With two entries threatening the Stash and trying to knock each other out for the guaranteed $50,000, it was Streak For The Cash that fought the hardest. Our eventual winner, M. Grant of Raleigh, NC took a gamble with a 1-game lead over terry entry by picking Louisville to win by double digits over Pittsburgh. The Cardinals couldn't distance themselves from the pesky Panthers and won by only 3 points, ending Grant Entry's run with a W25. However, at that exact moment, terry entry was riding the hopes of Rory McIlroy to win the Accenture Match Play Championship over Hunter Mahan. Mahan dusted McIlroy through the first nine holes and hung on to capture the title, ending terry entry's streak at W24. With both leaders going down, the door was wide open for several entrants to swoop in and steal the winnings, but one by one, they all faltered on February 27th and 28th to preserve Grant Entry as the winner. The Stash seemed almost determined to not let anyone near it after a mad dash down the stretch to snag it by six users.Since the Streak Stash wasn't won, the amount will roll over to the month of March. That means that if someone can reach a W27 in March, they will walk away with a hefty $150,000! Good luck to all!
On the "Most Wins" side, the state of North Carolina completed the double as Frey, hailing from Charlotte, NC, clinched the $2,500 prize with 104 wins.
A final note for you Streakers in the "Beat The Messenger" group. Find out tonight who has won the first random drawing for $1,000 by finishing ahead of The Messenger.

Stash Winner Blows Out The Competition
Streak for the Cash saw history in the month of January with our first female monthly winner, and she did so by running away with the longest streak of the month. Thanks to a Swansea City draw against EPL powerhouse, Chelsea, Lindsay W. from West Palm Beach, FL reached our Streak Stash to finish with a W27, earning herself $100,000. She won by an astonishing five wins (two other users reached a W22), thanks in most part to a 9-1 mark in college basketball matchups. As for the most wins category, BGSU Falcons took the cake with 102 wins, beating out oilyjudd who finished with 99. The win earned him $2,500! Good luck to everyone in February and don't forget to beat the Messenger!
Since the Streak Stash was won, the amount will reset for the month of February. That means that if someone can reach a W27 in February, they will walk away with a cool $100,000! Good luck to all!

Virginia resident wins $200k as stash falls
All good things must eventually come to an end (or in this case reset), and just when we thought the stash was safe it fell in the final hours of April to a remarkable run. Michael Swanson from Palmyra, VA (population 104 people as of 2010), began the month with a 15-26 record before doing the near-impossible by winning 27 matchups in a row. Beginning the day in a 2-way tie at W24, Michael elected to take Ural (a +120 underdog!) for a road win in Division 1 Russian soccer and got the 2-0 victory, giving him sole possession of first place with a gutsy play. Both he and the W24 who hadn't yet picked on Tuesday then took the heavily favored Real Madrid to win at home in their UEFA Champions League semifinal. As more and more time ticked off the clock during the 0-0 draw late in the 2nd Half, the stash began to look safe. But Real Madrid put an end to that, scoring back to back goals in the 83rd and 88th minute to secure Michael a W26. Now one win away from the stash, he took Ty Lawson's 1st Half Points against Klay Thompson's (whom the W25 took). This became the pinnacle of drama, for the W25 right behind him had a perfect 25-0-0 record, and if Klay Thompson pulled it off Michael would have lost the tiebreaker with both entries tied at W26. This meant Lawson's 1st Half Points would either secure him $200,000 or leave him without a dime to show for his efforts. But Michael's streak simply refused to end as Lawson edged out Thompson 11-9, taking down the stash in dramatic fashion. The "Most Wins" competition was highly competitive as no one could pull away from one another in April. And in what seems to be a normal occurance these days, the race was so close that it ended in a tie at 132 wins with Ian Polhill taking home the $2,500 prize on a tiebreaker (highest win %).
The Streak Stash was hit in April so it will reset in May and be worth $50,000. If someone reaches a W27 or greater, they will be eligible to claim the grand prize of $100,000 (Stash + Monthly). Good luck Streakers!
