Pennsylvania resident starts 25-0 to win $50,000; Stash now $300,000August was an interesting month, as far as the longest streak was concerned. We had multiple entries reach 20-0 or better before losing, which is quite the feat in itself. The tough barrier to break through for the month was "24". Five entries were halted at that number, including a lone W24 on the final day of the month, trying to sneak away with the $50,000 or more. After the dust settled, Brian A. from Erie, PA came out on top as the only one to crack the code and reach W25. After Brian lost his streak on August 24, a pair of W24's took their turn to try and tie him up, but both failed in the end. It appeared to be smooth sailing until the last 48 hours of August. dannymaryarski made a mad dash, including a miracle Ole Miss 75-yard TD with a minute left and a Bayern Munich goal with under ten seconds to play, to keep the streak dreams alive. After reaching a W24, (and owning the Tiebreaker with a higher win %) Ohio State was selected to win by 35+ points for $50,000. The Buckeyes rolled to an early 23-0 lead, but Buffalo clawed back, losing by 20 in the end. Crazy final days, but congrats to Brian on the big win! The "Most Wins" competition was won by Justin E., who won the $2,500 prize by racking up 111 wins. He came into the final day with a big enough lead, and eased his way to the cash.
Since the W27 Stash was not reached in August, it will rollover and be worth an impressive $300,000(Stash + monthly) in September. The total is tied for the second biggest Stash in Streak for the Cash history ($450,000 was the biggest). Good luck in September, and as always thank you for your dedication to the game!
