Arkansas resident wins $50k; Stash is safeJune is always an interesting month on Streak for the Cash as the pressures of the playoffs mount for teams in sports we are very familiar with at this point, such as the NBA and NHL, while other sports are showcased for the first time all year that pose new and exciting challenges for streakers. This year these "wildcard" sports included cricket, the Tour de France, Track and Field, CFL, the Confederations Cup, the U-20 World Cup, the NBA Draft, multiple Tennis Grand Slam events, and the Men's and Women's College World Series among others. No one navigated these treacherous waters better than Alex P. from Bryant, AR whose W25 locked up the $50,000 first prize after a dizzying run that lasted a mere six days. What's most remarkable about the streak is certainly up for debate; was it the fact that seven different sports were selected during the winning streak, that Alex got a stunning seven wins on June 27th alone or perhaps that the plethora of miracle comebacks which kept the streak alive seemed to become par for the course down the stretch? Whatever it was, June was surely the "month of Alex" as the "Most Wins" competition was a massive blowout for yet another Alex, Alex W. who won the $2,500 prize by racking up 126 wins and beating out the 2nd place finisher by 9 spots.
Since the W27 Stash was not reached in June it will rollover and be worth $150,000, making the July grand total $200,000 (Stash + monthly). Good luck this month and as always thank you for your dedication to the game!
